Sanctuary Unlimited is my project to create a place of co-operation and community between humans and animals. I am looking for an existing place that is interested in redesigning this place according to the principles of Autonomous Horsemanship and the Trust Technique.

The Sanctuary Unlimited is part of the international network ‘Many Paths to the Heart’, and it also goes beyond this in some respects.

Here are the keywords that distinguish this place from others:

In the spirit of autonomous horsemanship, we recognise the autonomy of animals and enable maximum and safe freedom in a world that is heavily influenced by humans.

We recognise that animals are not there to heal us as humans.

We work in trusted cooperation and on an equal footing and on the attitude strongly rooted in us through domestication that we are used to push through our ‘agenda’.

We are endeavouring to achieve true co-habitation, both mentally and spatially and architecturally.

Sanctuary Unlimited provides space for animals in need, but is not a sanctuary in the traditional sense.

Sanctuary Unlimited provides the space to experimentally implement the principles of Paulo Freire's (Brazil 1921-1997) pedagogy and to experience learning from others.

Sanctuary Unlimited offers artist's residencies, seminars, retreats and courses on nutrition, learning from animals, somatic living, somatic drawing and co-habitation. In this sense, Sanctuary Unlimited is also an artistic project that aims to achieve social relevance through mediation work.
