Learning From Animals
Courses at Kientalerhof/CH

Cross-species Mindfulness for Humans

Mindfulness is usually learnt in human groups or with oneself. In these weekend seminars we learn ways of mindfulness and organic intelligence across species. Animals are deeply anchored in a world of perception that is often hidden from humans by their thinking, although it is possible to communicate with animals on a non-linguistic level.

On the course days, we open ourselves up to the world of animals and

  • learn to see them as independent, autonomous beings with the ability to make decisions;

  • enter into resonance with animals through self-recognition;

  • learn to enter into positive co-creation with animals and to recognise strategies for our own dominance behaviour;

  • receive techniques from the fields of mindfulness, meditation and perception training with animals;

  • work on self-sensitivity;

  • learn about resonance-based touch (Shiatsu/Sei-ki) of the other person;

  • orientate ourselves towards strengthening our physical awareness in relation to the embodied experience of animals.

The course follows a resonance-oriented, trauma-sensitive approach and is based on an integrative, experimental and somatically orientated model. The focus is on embodied awareness, but conceptual awareness is also discussed.

The course weekends can be booked individually or as a whole.
As they build on each other, we recommend booking all three weekends.
